Executive Tax Service is a full-time professional tax preparation and tax planning company located in Metairie, Louisiana and serving clients throughout the United States as well as other countries.

We offer outstanding customer service as we strive to minimize taxpayer’s liabilities by preparing complete and accurate tax returns based on current tax law.

Our tax practice was founded in 2004 by Judith W Phillpott, an Enrolled Agent since 1985 and a tax professional with over 40 years of experience. Judy retired in 2023 and is never too far away for consultations as needed.

Laurie P Schmaltz, EA is Judy’s daughter and joined Executive Tax Service in 2004. Laurie received her BA in Business and Marketing from Loyola University. She became an Enrolled Agent in 2009 and has 20 years of experience as a tax professional. Laurie has been a member of the National Association of Enrolled Agents (NAEA) since 2009 and has served in leadership roles as past Director and past Education Coordinator of the Louisiana NAEA Chapter (LSEA). She has been a member of the National Association of Tax Professionals (NATP) since 2006 and became a National Tax Practice Institute (NTPI) Fellow in 2012. Laurie has been an active member of Business Network International (BNI) since 2016 and is currently serving as Chapter President for the NOLA Referral Partners BNI Chapter. She also served as past Secretary/Treasurer, Education Coordinator, Membership and Visitor’s Host.

Crystal B Smith, EA joined our tax practice in August of 2017 and became an Enrolled Agent in January of 2020. Crystal received her BA in Sociology with a Minor in Accounting from the University of New Orleans. She also received an Associate degree in Business and Accounting. Crystal has 9 years of experience in tax and public accounting and 6 ½ years of experience as a tax professional with Executive Tax Service. Prior to joining Executive Tax Service, Crystal was the Director of Programs & Services for the National MS Society, Louisiana where she dedicated 15 years serving all those impacted by multiple sclerosis. Crystal has been a member of NATP since 2017 and a member of NAEA since 2020.

As Enrolled Agents, Laurie and Crystal have earned the privilege of practicing (representing taxpayers) before the Internal Revenue Service and all State Departments of Revenue in all tax matters.

Mary S LaBorde joined Executive Tax Service in January of 2022 as our Office Manager. She received her BS from Loyola University and her MS from the University of St. Francis. Prior to joining us, Mary was an Executive Assistant to the president at Canal Barge Company, Inc.
